Informative, Educational and Amusing Speech of Pres Duterte on His 2019 4th SONA

President Duterte has delivered his fourth SONA at the Session Hall of the House of Representatives, Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City on July 22, 2019. His speech was significantly informative, educational and entertaining one. It received at least 43 times of applause and 25 times of laughter from the audience.

The first 3 applause was heard when he addressed VP Robredo down to former presidents Ramos, Estrada and Arroyo. The fourth applause and the first laughter was heard when he said "The landslide victory of the Administration candidates as well as the latest survey results shows that my disapproval rating is 3%. I hope that the members of Congress --- sana hindi kayo included sa 3%."

President Duterte's 2019 4th SONA

In his 4th SONA, President Duterte highlighted the following: drugs, corruption, death penalty, government transactions, Boracay Rehab, Manila Bay Cleanup, West Philippines Sea, anti-communist task force, magna carta for barangays, loans for MSME, mandatory ROTC, water crisis, public roads, Bangsamoro Organic Law, salary increases for teachers and nurses, benefits of solo parents, the malasakit center, coconut levy fund and the purpose of Land bank which is to finance agricultural enterprises and endeavors instead now become the number one commercial bank in the Philippines.

What I liked most of his speech although the most hated one by the Dilawan was when he said, "It is not the eagle in the fight but the fight in the eagle that matters. Believe me, I will end my term fighting." Seriously he said it and followed the fifth applause. And then the 6th applause was heard when he said "I respectfully request Congress to reinstate the death penalty for heinous crimes related to drugs, as well as plunder."
