Praise God, Justice is Served for The Filipino People: CJ Sereno is Already Removed from Office Through Quo Warranto

May 11, 2018, the SC en banc has removed CJ Sereno from office on the basis of invalid appointments. Eight (8) of SC Associate Justices voted for the Quo Warranto against the Six (6) dissenter Associate Justices. Justices who voted Quo Warranto and removed CJ Sereno said Sereno has violated the requirements on the Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).

The 8 Associate Justices who voted for the Quo Warranto are: Associate Justices Teresita Leonardo de Castro, Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin, Francis Jardeleza, Noel Tijam, Samuel Marites, Andres Reyes and Alexander Gesmundo. For them Quo Warranto was the proper remedy in the ouster of CJ Maria Lourdes Sereno.
