President Duterte Leads The Inauguration of Cavite Gateway Terminal (CGT) in Capipisa, Tanza, Cavite

WoW! Ito ang isa sa mga projects ng Build, Build, Build Program ng Administrasyon ni Pangulong Duterte. On November 22, 2018 nasa aming lugar ang Pangulong Duterte to lead the inauguration of Cavite Gateway Terminal (CGT) in Capipisa, Tanza Province of Cavite.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, together with Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) Chairman Enrique Razon, and ICTSI Senior Vice President Christian Gonzales, leads the inauguration of the Cavite Gateway Terminal (CGT), the country's first container barge port in Capipisa, Tanza, Cavite.

The CGT is a project under the ‘Build, Build, Build’ Program of the Duterte administration, in partnership with the ICTSI. The terminal features trans-shipment of cargo from international ports in Manila to Cavite via barges and Roll-On/Roll-Off (RORO) operations. By moving cargo and people out of the roads and into the waterways, it would decongest traffic in major roads.

Once operational, it is expected to decrease truck trips by 140,000 every year or equivalent to nearly two kilometers of truck traffic on the road daily. The terminal will also be integrated with other major Luzon port facilities for a cost-effective and time-bound access to the Cavite market.
