Charges against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno

Failure to declare her real wealth, 
Buying a luxury car with government funds and 
Making questionable decisions without consulting fellow magistrates.

It was on Sept. 13, 2017, the House committee found the impeachment complaint filed by Lorenzo Gadon - "Sufficient in Form and Substance" - giving the way for the panel to hear the charges against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.

Habang pinapanood ko si Chief Justice Sereno, napakakalmante niya - ang kaniyang face expression at ang kaniyang pananalita - habang kaniyang pinabubulaanan ang mga charges laban sa kaniya. Ayon sa kaniya her impeachment was based on "false and flimsy grounds”. In that case dapat lamang na harapin niya ang Impeachment complaint tulad ni former Chief Justice Corona.

What we would expect then, if impeached, Chief Justice Sereno would be the second Chief Justice to face her fate following her predecessor. Former Renato Corona was impeached in December 2011 and found guilty by the Senate in May 2012 for failing to disclose his real wealth in his SALN.

Would It Be The COMELEC Chief Andres Bautista is The Next Chief to Be Impeached by The Philippine Congress After Former SC Chief Justice Renato Corona

Ang Ina ng apat na anak ni Bautista all boys, aged 8, 13, 14 and 16 ay lumantad sa mga TV interviews at naglahad patungkol sa limpak-limpak na salapi na pagmamay-ari ni COMELEC Chief Andres Bautista - na magpahanggang ngayon ay naguguluhan itong Ina kung paano nagkaroon ng nasabing bilyones na pera si Bautista.

Of course, wala tayong pakialam patungkol sa away ni Patricia at ni Andy bagkus punteryahin natin ang sinasabing bilyones na pag-aari ni COMELEC Chief Bautista na hindi nadeklara sa kaniyang SALN.

Naging viral si Bautista online at naging laman ng iba't ibang newspapers at naging usapan sa mga TV networks ng ating bansa at iba pang mga Radio Broadcasting stations ng bansa.

Ano ang halaga ng SALN para sa isang opisyal ng Gobyerno? Kabayan, naalaala niyo pa ba ang nangyari kay former Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona?  He was found guilty by the Senate of violating Article II of the Articles of Impeachment. 

On December 12, 2011, he was impeached by the House of Representatives. On May 29, 2012, he was found guilty by the Senate of violating Article II of the Articles of Impeachment filed against him pertaining to his failure to disclose his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth to the public.
