Emmanuel "Manny" Fantin Piñol was born on December 16, 1953. He is a Filipino journalist, writer, agriculturist and politician who is the current Secretary of the Philippine Department of Agriculture. He was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte to replace Proceso Alcala, the Agriculture secretary of the preceding Benigno Aquino III administration.

Mr. Piñol was first elected into public office in 1995 when he ran for mayor as a substitute to his father, former Cotabato Provincial Board member Bernardo Piñol Sr., in their hometown of M'lang, Cotabato.
